Join us for our next event - Phone-Free Playground Meetup on September 28 (10am) at Center Playground!
Lex Kids Be Kids is a local parent-led community organization that brings families together to strengthen connections and promote healthy norms around technology use. Through community building, education, and collective action, we seek to change the norms around youth smartphone, social media, and digital technology use. We recognize that digital devices can be valuable tools, but believe they should support—not overshadow—childhood, relationships, and community life.
Our Major Goals
Better Understanding of Our Choices – We aim to educate and support one another on important topics such as delaying smartphones, exploring alternatives, promoting phone-free schools, and reducing phone dependency.
Encouraging Screen-Free Family Activities – We strive to bring families together by planning and highlighting local opportunities, events, and resources that help us connect without screens.
Shaping Policy and Advocacy – It's our hope that parents and caregivers have a seat at the table in decisions that influence children, technology, and education.
